Having a proper squat form is very essential when lifting. This maximizes the risk of getting injured and get the proper lift to the certain area. For a proper squat you should stand shoulder width apart with your toes slightly pointed out. Next, you will act like you are sitting into a chair but with a big inhale up top, chest up, and once your legs hit around a 90 degree angle, you stand back up. A big thing is knees over your toes and squat back on your heels. Having a straight back will help prevent injury. You can dumbbell squat, front squat, single leg squat, or you can regular squat as well.
